Q: What will happen for all of God’s true people?

A: They will come into unity in proclaiming the essential truths that are to be a test in the last days

The call to the gospel supper is to be given with decided earnestness. God's people are to come into oneness in the proclamation of the essential truths that are to be the test of character in these last days. Christians are to work under one divine head. Jesus Christ is our leader. Every one who bears the seal of God will do as his Leader did. He will go about doing good, forgetting self in the effort to help others. The example of the great head of the church is to be followed in every respect {20LtMs, Ms 44, 1905, par. 13}

Q: What happened to Ellen Harmon and her family in regard to the Methodist denomination, when it fell as a part of Babylon?

A: A testing question was made from traditional Methodist doctrine rather than from the Word of God and they were consequently removed from church fellowship without a single text as the basis:

The minister did not attempt to refer to a single text that would prove us in error, but excused himself on the plea of want of time. He advised us to withdraw quietly from the church, and avoid the publicity of a trial. We were aware that others of our brethren were meeting with similar treatment for a like cause, and we did not wish it understood that we were ashamed to acknowledge our faith, or were unable to sustain it by Scripture; so my parents insisted that they should be acquainted with the reasons for this request. {LSMS 58.3}

The only answer to this was an evasive declaration that we had walked contrary to the rules of the church, and the best course would be voluntarily to withdraw from it to save a trial. They answered that they preferred a regular trial, and demanded to know what sin was charged to us, as we were conscious of no wrong in looking for and loving the appearing of the Savior {LSMS 59.1}

…..

The next Sunday at the commencement of the love feast, the presiding elder read off our names, seven in number, as discontinued from the church. He stated that we were not expelled on account of any wrong or immoral conduct, that we were of unblemished character and enviable reputation; but we had been guilty of walking contrary to the rules of the Methodist Church. He also declared that a door was now open, and all who were guilty of a similar breach of the rules would be dealt with in like manner {LSMS 60.2}

Q: What is happening to SDAs who believe in the Bible and the writings of Egw but not the current assumptive fundamental belief about the trinity?

A: They are being censored, fired, and disfellowshipped even though there is no plain thus saith the Lord to sanction it.

The reasons for which members shall be subject to discipline are: 1. Denial of faith in the fundamentals of the gospel and in the Fundamental Beliefs of the Church or teaching doctrines contrary to the same (SDA Church Manual 20th edition pg 67)

Here recently, on May 18th, 2025, the McDonald Road SDA church disfellowshipped 7 members, not because these individuals violated the Scriptures or stated anything explicitly contrary to God's Word, but rather because they would not affirm SDA fundamental belief # 2. This is a sad occurrence that is happening all over the world to many faithful Seventh-day Adventist Christians.

Q: Is the trinity ever presented as the unifying basis for God’s people in the Bible or SOP?

A: No! There is not a single Bible verse or SOP quote that ever teaches this.

Q: Do the current SDA fundamental beliefs present the trinity as the basis of church unity?

A: Yes!

The church is one body with many members, called from every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. In Christ we are a new creation; distinctions of race, culture, learning, and nationality, and differences between high and low, rich and poor, male and female, must not be divisive among us. We are all equal in Christ, who by one Spirit has bonded us into one fellowship with Him and with one another; we are to serve and be served without partiality or reservation. Through the revelation of Jesus Christ in the Scriptures we share the same faith and hope, and reach out in one witness to all. This unity has its source in the oneness of the triune God, who has adopted us as His children. (SDA FB # 14)

Q: Does inspiration warn about false tests within Adventism that will cause men and women to fail the final test?

A: Yes! There is a warning given to the SDA people about erroneous sentiments that have falsified the truth and mingled pretentious, superior beliefs with the truth that will lead to a failure of the future test:

But are of the synagogue of Satan.” [Verse 9.] Here is a warning coming to our people, of assertions from those who claim to be Jews and are not. They claim to stand as believing present truth when they have brought in sentiments that have falsified the truth and have so mingled these pretentious, superior beliefs with the truth that, through their erroneous suppositions, the soul will in future test and trial give up the foundation of the faith for fables {19LtMs, Ms 149, 1904, par. 3}

Q: Does the ecumenical movement require the trinity doctrine in order to be considered truly Christian?

A: Yes! Please watch the video link attached:

"The Seventh-day Adventist church attend a meeting since 1957. 1957, I was not even there, you know, right?  The meeting is called Conference of General Secretaries of Christian World Communions. Okay? Why did the Adventists, and actually I had a slide I wanted to show, but I cannot show my powerpoint. So they have several list, a list that is called Christian World Communions, meaning churches that are considered genuinely Christians. On that list we have Seventh-day Adventists, General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. And on section 9, because I remember clearly, I presented in several times, you have churches that they call with heterodox Christology, meaning they have a different understanding of who Christ is, and on that list is, um, Latter-day Saints, Mormons, church of Scientology, Jehovah Witnesses, and few other thing. Now Adventists have been diligent, since Bert Beech, and after John Graz, and myself now, to make sure that we would be kept on that list, with genuine Christians...

Q: Do SDAs support this basis for ecumenicalism?

A: Yes!

Adventists value unity just as God does. UNITY IS GROUNDED IN THE EXISTENCE OF GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT…. Unity is dear to the heart of God. The whole plan of salvation demonstrates God’s determination to unite HIS divided and dispersed family, which HE created in HIS image. UNITY IS GROUNDED IN THE BEING OF GOD WHO IS TRINITY: A UNITY IN TRINITY…. SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS SUPPORT CHRISTIAN UNITY AS THEY JOIN THE TRIUNE GOD who is determined to gather people HE created in HIS image. (Ganoune Diop “Why Adventists Participate in UN and Ecumenical Meetings)

Q: Was the trinity doctrine an essential test question according to James White?

A: No!

In the divine law, and in the gospel of the divine Son, are the tests of Christian character. And it is with an ill grace that those who have been splitting up into petty sects during the nineteenth century over forms of church government, matters of expediency, free and restricted salvation, trinity and unity, whether we may sing any good hymn in church, or only the Psalms of David, and other matters which constitute no test of fitness for Heaven, now pounce upon us, and display any amount of religious horror, simply because we regard strict conformity to the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus the only true tests of Christian character. (James White, Review and Herald Oct, 12, 1876)

Q: Does inspiration warn us about getting up tests that are not given in Scripture?

A: Yes!

Very many will get up some test that is not given in the word of God. We have our test in the Bible,—the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (General Conference Bulletin, April 16, 1901)

Q: Was the trinity doctrine considered an essential test question according to the NAD several decades ago?

A: No!

If Adventism is to meet the needs of all people around the world, the landmarks must remain simple and straight forward. The Bible will be our only creed. Complex theological definitions, the Trinity, for example, may serve the church well in general but cannot be imposed as a test for all Adventist everywhere.

“Adventism can expect fresh insights into truth, “present truth” that will enhance the appreciation of old landmarks. Such an expectation has always been a part of historic Adventism and is reaffirmed in the Statement of Fundamental Beliefs voted in 1980. When “present truth” is of a complex nature, however, it may be more helpful for some in the church than for others. In such a case it cannot be imposed on the church as a whole. Remembering our non-Trinitarian past as well as the simplicity of our landmarks should encourage a certain humility in the church and lead us to resist any attempt by one segment of the church to impose its views on the rest (Issues: The Seventh-day Adventist Church and Certain Private Ministries pg 50: Published by the North American Division of SDAS [1992])

Q: What is the basis for unity for God's people in the end time?

A: Let's read our Bibles:

"These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.....18 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me (John 17:1-3, 18-23)

"The prayer of Christ to His Father, contained in the 17th chapter of John, is to be our church creed {14LtMs, Ms 12, 1899, par. 4}

Q: What is the final test of unity for God's people in the end time?

A: Let's read our Bibles:

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus (Rev 14:6-12)

I saw that the holy Sabbath is, and will be, the separating wall between the true Israel of God and unbelievers; and that the Sabbath is the great question to unite the hearts of God's dear, waiting saints. {EW 33.1}

Q: How did SDA professors and ministers end up teaching popular trinitarian dogma such as one inseparable, indivisible God Being?

A: By using philosophy and accepting the traditions and sayings of men

Human theories and speculations will never lead to an understanding of God’s word. Those who suppose that they understand philosophy think that their explanations are necessary to unlock the treasures of knowledge and to prevent heresies from coming into the church. But it is these explanations that have brought in false theories and heresies. Men have made desperate efforts to explain what they thought to be intricate scriptures; but too often their efforts have only darkened that which they tried to make clear will never lead to an understanding of God’s word. Those who suppose that they understand philosophy think that their explanations are necessary to unlock the treasures of knowledge and to prevent heresies from coming into the church. But it is these explanations that have brought in false theories and heresies. Men have made desperate efforts to explain what they thought to be intricate scriptures; but too often their efforts have only darkened that which they tried to make clear. (Christ Object Lessons pg 110.2)

"This trend in Adventism is the result of the theological method most of our theologians follow: copy and paste from protestant theologians. Protestant theologians do the same, they copy and paste from Catholic theologiansAnd Catholic theologians develop their interpretation of Scripture from tradition, philosophy, science and Scripture. Q: What did James White view as the failure of the reformation?

A: They stopped reforming and retained unscriptural errors

The greatest fault we can find in the Reformation is, the Reformers stopped reforming. Had they gone on, and onward, till they had left the last vestige of Papacy behind, such as natural immortality, sprinkling, the trinity, and Sunday- keeping, the church would now be free from her unscriptural errors.” (James White, February 7, 1856, Review & Herald, vol. 7, no. 19, page 148, par. 26)

Q: Is the modern SDA church in similar danger?

A: Let every man judge for himself
